| ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to assess the effect of the growth retardant trinexapac-ethyl on the physiological quality of seeds of different grain white oat cultivars in two growing environments. The experiments were carried out in Londrina and Mauá da Serra, Paraná State, Brazil. The experimental design was a randomized block design in a 4 × 2 factorial scheme with four replications. Treatments consisted of four white oat cultivars (IPR Afrodite, IPR Artemis, URS Corona, and URS Guria), with and without growth retardant application. | ABSTRACT: Growth retardants, such as paclobutrazol, reduce plant height, and thus enable commercialization of larger ornamental plants in pots. The aim of this research was to evaluate the size, yield and flower quality of two rose cultivars as a function of various paclobutrazol applications to growing substrate. Treatments consisted of two cultivars (Yellow Terrazza® and Shiny Terrazza®) planted in plastic pots and five paclobutrazol doses (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0mg pot-1). | RESUMO: O objetivo desse estudo foi verificar o efeito do regulador de crescimento trinexapac-etil em cevada cervejeira irrigada em áreas de Cerrado do Distrito Federal. O ensaio foi conduzido na área experimental da Embrapa Cerrados, em Planaltina, DF. Adotou-se o delineamento experimental de blocos ao acaso, com quatro repetições, utilizando as linhagens PFC 92126 e PFC 94014, ambas dísticas, a cultivar BRS 180 e a linhagem AF 9585, hexásticas. A aplicação de trinexapac-etil foi feita nas dosagens de 100 e 125 g/ha de ingrediente ativo, no estádio de primeiro nó visível, e 125 g/ha, no estádio de segundo nó visível. | Abstract:The objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of prohexadione calcium concentrations on the growth and quality of eggplant (Solanum melongena) seedlings. The effects of prohexadione calcium concentrations of 0, 50, 100, or 150 mg L-1 on seedling growth parameters were evaluated in a greenhouse experiment. After the greenhouse experiment, the seedlings were transplanted to the field.
