| This paper establishes the existing relation between the field of the sea surface temperature and his anomalies with accumulated monthly of rainfall in each of the localities (total 7) of the coast of the Ecuador. For the effect there is in use information of the sea superficial temperature from the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP Climate Modeling Branch), and accumulated monthly of rain of the database of the Inocar during the period from 1981 to 2006, corresponding to the stations of the San Lorenzo, Esmeraldas, Manta, La Libertad, Guayaqui,.
