The present paper deals with the creation of maps for the sake of a special map portal using the database of eco farms in the Czech Republic. The map output is being developed and implemented within the framework of the Research Program in mutual cooperation of the Department of Information Technologies, Information and Consulting Centre, other departments of the Faculty of Economics and Management CULS Prague with external partners, especially with the Ministry of Agriculture (Environment and Ecological Agriculture Section, Department of Ecological Agriculture) and the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Information (UZEI) - Division of Agro-environmental Policy in Brno. The maps are visualized by means of MPPR 1.0 system and have been processed – in... |

A generally used term for easy marketable commodities usually with high prices is cash crops As a result of it these commodities are produced by many developing and especially least developed countries (LDC). These crops have witnessed fluctuation in prices during the last decade. We can suppose that these products would be the domain of developing countries nevertheless the opposite is true. Vanilla is a very good example of those products especially because just very few producers exist. We can suppose that vanilla trade would be the sphere of very few producers and beside that the agents would deal mostly with the demand site on the international market. However, the international vanilla market shows slight differences. Nevertheless, it can be grown... |

The agricultural companies are operating in the environment with high level of competition and therefore it is for them important to retain respectively to improve their market position to reach higher measure of production process efficiency. As the principal measurement of the production performance was applied technical efficiency which is the assumption to reach the total economical efficiency of company. According to the results we can state that the technical efficiency measure has during analysed period declining trend. Since the year 2001 when the technical efficiency measure reached the highest level was registered decline of the technical efficiency, except the year 2005. The average level of the technical efficiency measure during the years... |

Composite indicators are useful as tool for complex evaluation and aggregation of different variables of regional development. Variables which are aggregated in a composite indicator have first to be weighted. All variables may be given equal weights or they mea be given differing weights which reflect the significance, reliability or other characteristics of the underlying data. The weights given to different variables heavily influence the outcomes of the composite indicator. Aim of this paper is an evaluation of selected methods for weighting of particular variables in frame of composite indicator construction. Evaluation is verified on group of regional economic variables based on Strategy of regional development. |

Assessment of land depends on the production function of soil and additional connections given by environmental requirements, by the evaluation of public goods or by the requirements for formation a fair tax policy and even by the interests of landowners. Analysis of coherences during the soil appraisal shows a relatively strong dependence on the development of year-by-year yields and cost including subsidy policy, which is strongly reflected in the grasslands. Development of subsidies does not basically influence a long- term return and costs ratio for the production on arable land. The requirements for formation of prices are given due to the need for stability of the mutual relations between the quality of soil and climatic conditions, which manifests... |

The law No. 139/2002 Col., on reparcelling and land offices can be consider as one of the most important tools of active land law in the CR. In frame of administrative procedure in public interest, the law enables to re-parcel lands and ownership relations to them in order to create conditions for consequential management. A property right to newly defined parcels is acquired by a decision of the appropriate land office which is an administrative authority. By means of reparcelling, also „modern“ ecological problems are solved. Reparcelling is necessary for renewal of statutory land registration, clearing and delimitation of borders in the landscape, and so it is a significant contribution for renewal of peace in land ownership in the CR shaken in 1948 –... |

The paper deals with the analysis of market land prices that were collected from land purchased contracts in the Czech Republic. Regression model was used to identify determinants explaining variability of market prices between 2008 and 2009. It was found out that type of plantation, region, type of buyers, plot size, distance to regional city or number of parcels play significant role. These factors explain more than a half of variance in land price. Quality of land that was expressed through administrative price has significant effect on market price. Yet, such effect became less import in regions nearby cities (e.g. Prague and Olomouc), where the market land price is significantly influenced by the distance to the district city. Land reform, however has... |

The manufacture, distribution and retailing of foodstuffs became an extraordinarily complex business activity. The complete food chain must provide for the implementation of the strictest quality standards and safety regulations. Problems of food safety can be solved by keeping (and enforcing) applicable regulations, by introducing modern quality assurance systems, by making possible the traceability of products and their identification. The safety of product lines and tracing of products cannot be solved without using information systems of a certain level. During our research, it came to light that, generally, agrarian traceability struggles with many more problems. Companies try to live up to expectation, but they often apply different solutions with... |
