| This paper evaluates how efficiently farm households allocate labor between farm and off-farm activities. It estimates farm and off-farm labor supply functions to determine the factors that influence labor allocation. Both the shadow wage and the off-farm wage rate are included as regressors in the supply functions. The study reveals that, on average, farm households are inefficient, but when linked to labor markets their productivity and internal efficiency increase. The decision to sell labor is influenced by location, and off-farm employment is difficult to find, particularly for the better educated. | In the paper a flexible FHM approach is estimated to model price responses of farm households under imperfect labor markets. In contrast to former studies the model explicitly incorporates simultaneously fixed and variable transaction costs as well as heterogeneity. Main results are: (i) In the general approach non-separability not only occurs if households are autarkic, but also when households participate in labor markets. (ii) Under imperfect labor markets, price responses are ambiguous and differ for the non-separable and separable model. However, econometric analysis indicates only moderate differences between the two models except for crop production for which an inverse supply response is estimated. |

| In addition to clear negative impact of the global economic crisis, which we witness, the labor market in Serbia has been faced with the transition problems accumulated through many years. Tourism and hospitality are among the those activities which have capacity to induce the entire system of other complementary activities that contribute to coping with the problem of high unemployment. The paper discusses role of developing marketing strategies in tourism sector of Serbia. As the author, it is important for the country to define a clear marketing strategy that includes adequate directing capabilities and resources in this industry in order to response to changes in the environment. |

| Abstract: Although the Brazilian agribusiness sector’s relevance to the country has been widely recognized nowadays, to date, no study has been developed to evaluate the level of employment in this sector as a whole for Brazil. Therefore, the first objective of this study is to access the Brazilian agribusiness labor market, and to measure it, analyze its structure and characterize its workers.
