Última Lithoxus stocki, a species new to science of ancistrin loricariid catfish from the Maroni River drainage, with a comparison of the primary type specimens of the six species of Lithoxus (syn.: Paralithoxus) (Pisces, Siluriformes, Loricariidae) Naturalis Nijssen, Han; Isbrücker, Isaäc J.H.. Lithoxus stocki, a catfish species new to science from the Maroni River drainage in French Guiana and Surinam is described. A lectotype is designated for Lithoxus bovallii. Morphometric and meristic characters of the six species of the genus are provided. Paralithoxus, originally proposed as a subgenus of Lithoxus, is relegated to the synonymy of Lithoxus.
