A new species of the genus Apanteles Foerster, 1862 (subgenus Choeras Mason, 1981) from The Netherlands is described and illustrated. The new species is reported to be a parasitoid of larvae of terrestrial Trichoptera (Limnophilidae), which is the first report of this order as host of Braconidae. A key to the European species of the subgenus Choeras Mason is added. To facilitate future research and identification of the species, we characterize it from an integrative taxonomy perspective by providing a comprehensive morphological redescription, extensive illustrations (including the first images of the holotype), DNA barcodes, wasp biology, host data (Choreutidae and Crambidae caterpillars), and updated geographical distribution of the species (including eight new country records). Se redescribe a S. bicolor y S. tricolor Shenefelt sobre la base del material tipo (Paratipo macho) y ejemplares hembra. La nueva información referida a la morfología fue incorporada a las descripciones, con dibujos de las especies.
