| O Município de Presidente Figueiredo, do Estado do Amazonas, Brasil, foi visitado durante três anos consecutivos (1996 a 1999), com o objetivo de obter-se amostras botânicas da área para estudos do Subprojeto "Elaboração de Revisões e Monografias Taxonômicas", com a finalidade de elaborar-se a Flórula para o Município. As coleções feitas nesse período encontram-se depositadas no acervo do Herbário do INPA e as informações gerais sobre os taxa aqui estudados foram complementadas com as obtidas das coleções feitas anteriormente por outros pesquisadores. Para a família Myristicaceae Br. R. foram identificadas 23 espécies e duas variedades, distribuídas em quatro gêneros. | Floristic composition of twelve plots, 25 m by 25 m, was studied in the Peruvian Amazonia in order to investigate if it were possible to use a part of the flora as an indicator of the changes observed in other components of the flora. Floristic similarities among the plots were calculated using six different taxonomic or physiognomic groups: ferns, the families Melastomataceae and Myristicaceae, trees thicker than 2.5 cm diameter at breast hight (DBH), trees between 2.5 cm and 5 cm DBH, and trees thicker than 5 cm DBH. | In the genus Horsfieldia 5 new taxa are proposed, viz. one from Vietnam: H. micrantha W.J. de Wilde, a new variety from Thailand: H. amygdalina Wall. var. macrocarpa W.J. de Wilde, one species from the Philippines: H. romblonensis W.J. de Wilde, one species and a new variety both from West Papua: H. platantha W.J. de Wilde and H. subtilis (Miq.) Warb. var. auctissima W.J. de Wilde. Apart from additions and notes to Asian genera in Myristicaceae, a description in English of Myristica yunnanensis Y.H. Li is given. Horsfieldia kingii, Knema curtisii, Myristica cinnamomea, and M. yunnanensis are new records for Thailand; H. majuscula is a new record for Borneo. |
