Nährstoffgehalte der Fruchtarten finden eine vielfältige Verwendung in Praxis und Wissenschaft. Sie geben Auskunft über die Ernährungsbedingungen der Fruchtart selbst und können somit direkt für die Düngebedarfsermittlung verwendet werden. Ferner geben sie Auskunft über die Qualität des pflanzlichen Produktes für die Ernährung von Mensch und Tier. Eine genaue Kenntnis der Nährstoffgehalte kann die Güte von Nährstoffbilanzen sowie das gesamte Nährstoffmanagement verbessern. Somit können diese Berechnungen wichtige Informationen über die Nährstoffeffizienzen der eingesetzten Ressourcen und der Umweltverträglichkeit von Anbauverfahren liefern. Mitigation of subsoil recompaction by light traffic and on-land ploughing. II: Root and yield response Organic Eprints

Plough pans have been shown to severely hamper root development, limit rooting depth and reduce crop yields. We evaluated the effect of plough pan compaction on root and yield response for a winter wheat in a field trial conducted in two neighbouring fields (B3 and B4) on a sandy loam. Plots were mechanically loosened to a depth of 35 cm in 1997 (B3 and B4) and again in 1998 (only B4). Perennial grass/clover was grown with limited traffic intensity in 1998-1999 and 1999-2000 for B3 and B4, respectively. The perennial grass/clover was ploughed under in spring 2000 (B3) and spring 2001 (B4) and oats established. After harvest of oats, winter wheat was established. Recompaction treatments were applied to the mechanically loosened plots in 2000 and 2000+2001...

This is the final report of Defra project OF0173. The attached main report starts with a more detailed summary, from which this text is extracted. IGER, IACR and others developed a system for growing cereals, especially for whole crop silage, that enables either greatly reduced or zero levels of N fertilizer and agrochemicals to be used. The system is simple and straightforward and relies on direct drilling of the cereal into an established understorey of white clover. The white clover understorey becomes permanent and perennial and successive cereal crops are drilled into it, harvested and re-drilled each year. Økologisk jordbrug i Danmark har fokuseret meget lidt på jordbearbejdning og færdsel i marken. De traktorer og bearbejdningsmetoder, som en landmand har anvendt i det konventionelle landbrug, vil i langt de fleste tilfælde blive overført til det økologiske dyrkningssystem. Ved økologisk dyrkning skal jordens frugtbarhed fremmes mest muligt ved jordbearbejdningen. Pionerer indenfor den økologiske bevægelse hævder, at et system med minimal og helst ikke-vendende jordbearbejdning (altså uden pløjning) er at foretrække. De seneste årtiers brug af stedse større traktorer og vogne i landbruget har forårsaget en pakning af jorden under pløjedybde.
