Industrial Restructuring and the Selection of Pillar Industries in Qinghai Province, China AgEcon

Based on the data from the Qinghai Statistical Yearbook 2009, the evolution course of industrial structure and the developmental status of pillar industry is analyzed. The pillar industries in Qinghai Province are analyzed and revaluated from four aspects, which cover demand and income elasticity, location quotient, contribution rate and interrelationship between industries. Relationship between Economic Development Level and Environmental Quality in Qinghai Province AgEcon

Environmental and economic data in the years 1986-2006 in Qinghai Province of China are selected. Based on Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) theory, models of per capita GDP and four environmental indices are established by SPSS software. Economic development level and environmental quality of Qinghai Province are simulated. Research shows that relationship between economy and environment of Qinghai Province does not completely accord with U-shaped Pattern of EKC. Fitting curve of the emission of industrial wastewater shows positive "U"-type, that of waste gas shows the right half of the U curve, and that of SO2 and solid waste shows a "U + weak inverted U"-shaped curve. Analysis on Industry Structure Adjustment and Energy Consumption Based on Grey Theory—A Case Study of Qinghai Province AgEcon

In view of the complexity and non-linearity of energy consumption system and the status quo of the development of energy in Qinghai province, the relations between energy consumption and industrial structure is analyzed by using the quantitative analysis of grey relation degree by using the grey system theory. The relevancy degree among the primary industry, the secondary industry and the tertiary industry and living energy consumption are obtained, and then the trend of energy consumption in the following several years can be predicted. The results show that the secondary industry has the largest relevancy degree to the total energy consumption.
