In Brazil, the sewage treatment system in runoff ramps was implemented by some sanitation companies for being low cost and provide similar treatment efficiency or greater than those obtained by conventional methods, provided that it is properly up kept. This work aimed to evaluate the spatial variability of soil chemical attributes, removing nutrients and the productivity of Brachiaria humidicula ramp runoff for sewage treatment. Ramps working in the municipality of Januária/MG, receive effluent from a primary treatment unit, an upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) which before passed through preliminary treatment (solid removal). 24 samples of soil and plant tissue were collected into a mesh mounted on the ramps.
