| The publication of the Law 10,267 of 08/28/2001 changed the paradigm of rural registration in Brazil, because this law known as the "Law of Georeferencing" has created the National Registration of Rural Property, that unifies in a common basis different registrations present in several government agencies, such as the National Institute for Colonization and Agrarian Reform (INCRA), the Secretariat of Federal Revenue, the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Natural Resources, and the National Indian Foundation. | Apresenta-se neste trabalho um breve histórico dos registros genealógicos, com referencia a sua importância para o melhoramento genético animal. Ênfase especial e dada para o caso das raças zebuínas, criadas no Brasil. Em decorrência do fechamento do livro de registro; ocorrido em 1971 para a maioria das raças, e, em função de problemas conjunturais ocorridos desde então, e grande, atualmente, o contingente de animais que se encontra a margem do controle oficial. Por outro lado, os rebanhos considerados puros não conseguem suprir sequer a metade da demanda anual de reprodutores, necessária para a reposição nos planteis de seleção e nos rebanhos comerciais. | This issue handles the ability of using segmentation results of sidescan sonar images for long term registration. This study take a part of AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) navigation problems, particularly to correct the drift of navigation sensors. Principle of images formation with this type of engines and the main properties are first reminded. Some images are shown, which allows us to understand difficulties of this type of data to realise AUV positioning. Then, we decide that segmentation results of sidescan images provide us landscapes on which registration will be able. Segmentation is then explained.
