PERSPECTIVA DOS RECURSOS E ESTRATÉGIAS EM UMA ORGANIZAÇÃO AGROINDUSTRIAL AgEcon
Deboca, Leonardo Pinheiro; Sobrinho, Zaki Akel; Rosvadoski-da-Silva, Patricia.
This article discusses the utilization and the relations between different resource categories in the strategies adopted by an agroindustrial cooperative in Paraná state. The research was carried out through longitudinal with transversal cuts case study. Examining the different resource categories in the context of the changes in the studied organization’s strategies, an integration and complementation process was observed to explain the adoption of these strategies, in which characteristics such as agro-industrialization process, diversification of business activities, growth and insertion in foreign markets, transition from a commodities’ organization to one focused on products with added value, were implicit.

Dynamics in Inter‐Firm Collaboration: The Impact of Alliance Capabilities on Performance AgEcon
Ziggers, Gerrit Willem; Tjemkes, Brian.
In this study we question the direct relationship between a firm’s alliance capability and alliance performance. We contend that this relationship is mediated through post‐formation factors such as alliance management and relational quality. Drawing from the Resource Based View a model is presented that explicates these indirect relationships. Partial least squares analysis was used to test three hypotheses, using a sample of Dutch alliance managers responsible for non‐equity alliances in agribusiness and the food industry. Our empirical findings affirm the hypothesized indirect relationships between a firm’s alliance capability and alliance performance.

Market Driven Entrepreneurship: The Convergence of Market Orientation and the Resource Based View AgEcon
Micheels, Eric T.; Gow, Hamish R..
The dramatically changing marketing structure for agricultural products is forcing agricultural producers to become more entrepreneurial, but what does this mean? How do agricultural producers produce sustainable competitive advantage within a commodity market characterised by homogeneous producers? The convergence of two academic literatures - Market orientation from market strategy and Resource Based View from strategic management – provide a number of insights. In this paper we lay the foundation for research into the market orientation–performance link in terms of production agriculture. Building on the previous market orientation literature, we examine its ability to create a sustainable competitive advantage using a resource based view (RBV)....
