| Remote Sensing - based Information and Insurance for Crops in Emerging Economics (RIICE) is a collaborative project between 3 organizations: the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), SARMAP and the Rice Department of Thailand. The experiment was conducted during 2013 - 2015 in the areas under responsibility of Suphan Buri Rice Research Center and Nakhon Ratchasrima Rice Research Center. The satellite COSMO Skymed, stripmap type with 3-meter resolution and 40 x 40 kilometer-wide image, was used at Nakhon Ratchasrima, while the satellite COSMO Skymed, scansar type of 15-meter resolution and 100 x 100 kilometer-wide image, was used at Suphan Buri.
