La deserción escolar en la educación rural, Municipio de El Fuerte, Sinaloa. Colegio de Postgraduados

El objetivo de la investigación fue analizar las causas y consecuencias -de tipo personal, económico y social- que provocan la deserción escolar de estudiantes de preparatoria, caso Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa (UAS) en el municipio El Fuerte. La pesquisa se efectuó en la Unidad Académica San Blas y sus extensiones La Constancia y Las Higueras de Los Natoches en 2013. Se trabajó con metodología de enfoque mixto analizando datos cualitativos y cuantitativos a través de observación directa, grupo focal entrevistas, historia de vida y un cuestionario. La población estudiada fue de 35 discentes desertores del ciclo escolar 2011-2012; además 10 docentes, cuatro directivos y 20 estudiantes no desertores. Este artigo apresenta os resultados de avaliações da eficácia do Programa Empreendedor Rural – PER – em alcançar seus objetivos. O PER é um programa de educação rural para produtores e trabalhadores rurais desenvolvido no Paraná e executado pelo Senar/PR e Sebrae/PR que visa elevar os estoques de capital humano e social no meio rural. O programa adota o construtivismo como método de ensino e a elaboração de projetos de investimento como eixo de aprendizagem. Empirical Analysis of the Effect of Rural Education on Income Distribution of Rural Labor Force - A Case of Yongchuan District, Chongqing AgEcon

Taking rural labor force in Yongchuan District as the investigation object and based on the data information collected from the 1000 questionnaires in Yongchuan District from July to September 2009,Mencerian Rate of Return is used to discuss the effects of rural education on income distribution of rural labor force through correlation analysis ,regression analysis ,and estimated value analysis. Result shows that the annual income of investigation object has significant linear positive correlation with education degree at 0.01 level, and has significant negative correlation with working age at 0.05 level. Learning should be fast, relevant and integrated into day-to-day work patterns. One way of doing this is through e-learning. E-Learning has created favorable conditions for rural college students to compete with the urban ones. The article examines whether the rural students of Nagapattinam district (Tamilnadu) are having the impact of e-learning. The research is based on sample survey of rural students from the Engineering College and Arts & Science College.

Rural Gaps in Participation in Early Childhood Education AgEcon

While state government spending on early education has grown in recent years, accessibility of preschool programs for rural children remains a problem. Using census-tract data from a nationally-representative data set on U.S. children, multinomial logit estimation reveals significant differences in early education experiences between rural and nonrural children. Both rural children and children of less-educated mothers are less likely to participate in preschool. This paper concludes by discussing the appropriate role of local, state, or federal governments in funding rural preschool programs.
