Revision of the Euagathis species (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Bassinae) from the Sunda Islands Naturalis
Simbolotti, G.; Achterberg, C. van.
The species of the genus Euagathis Szépligeti, 1900 (Braconidae: Bassinae (= Agathidinae)) from the Greater and Lesser Sunda Islands (including West Malaysia) are revised and keyed. The subfamily name Bassinae Nees, 1812, is used because it is senior to the commonly used subfamily name Agathidinae Nees, 1814. Twenty-two species are recognized, of which nine are new. The genus Holcotroticus Cameron, 1902, is synonymized with Euagathis Szepligeti, 1900, and Euagathis ruficollis (Cameron, 1902) is a new combination. The following species are synonymized: Euagathis pilosa Szépligeti, 1902, and E. creophora Cameron, 1905, with E. clathrata (Brullé, 1846); E. rufonigra Enderlein, 1920, with E. ruficollis (Cameron, 1902); Euagathis variabilis Enderlein, 1920,...

Tan, H.S.; Nadiah, I.; Eryani, S.S..
Tropical forests in Borneo (Brunei Darussalam, Kalimantan, Sabah and Sarawak) are considered as one of the twelve mega biodiversity centres in the world. However, until now, there is no up-to-date or complete documentation on the flora of the island. The Tree Flora of Sabah and Sarawak Project, jointly undertaken by the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), the Forestry Department of Sabah and Forestry Department of Sarawak since 1991, is aimed at providing detailed and up-to-date botanical and ecological information on the tree resources of Sabah and Sarawak. Since its implementation, the project has established a close collaboration with and received generous help from botanists from local and international institutions/herbaria around the world. Up...

Revision of the genus Coeliccia (Zygoptera: Platycnemididae) in Borneo. Part I: The borneensis-group of species Naturalis
Dow, R.A..
A revision of the borneensis-group of Coeliccia species from the SE Asian island of Borneo is presented. The group is characterised based on the form of the penis, the form of the posterior lobe of the female pronotum and the mesostigmal plates of the female. Six species are recognised as occurring in Borneo, of which one is described as new: C. kenyah spec. nov. Coeliccia campioni, often considered a junior synonym of C. borneensis, is shown to be a valid species and new records are provided. C. coomansi is shown to be a junior synonym of C. flavostriata. Redescriptions based on fresh material are provided for the female of C. borneensis and the male of C. campioni. The male of C. borneensis and the female of C. campioni are described for the first time....

Bragg, P.E..
Phenacephorus parahaematomus spec. nov. is described and illustrated. The species is based on two male specimens which were collected in Borneo in 1925. The stout spines on the metanotum and general form closely resembles Lonchodes haematomus Westwood but P. parahaematomus has a spinose mound on the back of the head and spines on the pronotum and abdominal segments. Some new distribution data is given for Phenacephorus auriculatus (Brunner), and the egg is described and illustrated.

Hoya fauziana ssp. angulata (Apocynaceae, Asclepiadoideae), a new subspecies from Borneo and Sumatra Naturalis
Rodda, M.; Lamb, A.L.; Gokusing, L.; Rahayu, S..
A new Hoya subspecies from Borneo and Sumatra, Hoya fauziana ssp. angulata is described and illustrated. Both subspecies of Hoya fauziana have long lanceolate leaves, pubescent corollas and prominent ovoid corona lobes. They can be separated by the orientation of the pedicels (straight in H. fauziana ssp. fauziana and angled in H. fauziana ssp. angulata) and the type and position of pubescence of the corolla (tube and lobes pubescent with evident sericeous hairs in H. fauziana ssp. fauziana vs only tube finely pubescent in H. fauziana ssp. angulata).
