El manejo físico o laboreo del suelo se hace para crear condiciones óptimas en la zona de raíces de las plantas, a través de una adecuada estructura, porosidad, infiltración y retención de agua, entre otras, que son importantes para el manejo sustentable del recurso suelo. Para la identificación de indicadores físicos del suelo para la producción de cultivos, se utilizaron técnicas tradicionales y no destructivas de análisis tales como: la reflectometría de dominio del tiempo (TDR) y el penetrómetro de ultrasonido (PU) que garantizan la medición rápida de algunas propiedades físicas del suelo. ABSTRACT Assess the physical quality of agricultural soils it is important to establish the management more adequate for plant growth. In this study, the soil water retention curve and S index as indicators of soil physical quality were evaluated in five integrated production systems in the following forestry arrangements: Eucalyptus in a single line, double line and triple line (Eucalyptus I, II and III respectively), Balsa in triple line and Teak triple line. A estrutura do solo é a forma como as partículas minerais (areia, silte e argila) e orgânicas do solo estão organizadas no espaço (Dexter, 1988). A Typic Hapludult was used to evaluate the effect of soil structure and different bulk densities (reached after the destruction of macro aggregates) on functional characteristics of the pore system. The water retention curve, pore-size distribution, shrinkage curve and index were determined in disturbed and structured samples. To evaluate the effect of soil structure on the continuity of the pore system the air permeability at different matrix potentials was measured. Aggregation can suffer permanent or temporary changes to cyclical variations induced by management practices for soil and plant growth. The study evaluated the temporal and spatial variation of the stability of water stable aggregates and its relationship with the organic matter content in an Hapludalf in Santa Maria municipality, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil. The objective of this work was to determine, through the use of the bearing capacity model, the traffic effects of the forest harvest operations on the preconsolidation pressure (sigmap), during one cycle of the eucalyptus plantation. The work was conducted using undisturbed soil samples, collected at the surface of the A horizon and in the top of the B horizon of an Udult (PA), Aquox (FX) and Udox (LA) soils. Abstract: The objective of this work was to evaluate the superficial and injected applications of swine slurry and urea to the soil, regarding their effects on the physical properties of a Nitossolo Vermelho distroférrico under a no-tillage system. The treatments were: injected slurry into the groove with a liquid swine slurry injector (LSSI); slurry on surface, applied on the lines by the LSSI kept raised; urea injected by opening the groove with the LSSI and distributed manually; and corn, under no-tillage, as a control. Sowing and the injection of liquid slurry or urea do not modify the organic carbon content, pH, and aggregation, but alter the soil bulk density and porosity in the mobilized line, and increase the macropores. |
