| The velvetbean caterpillar (VBC), Anticarsia gemmatalis Hübner, 1818 (Insecta: Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is one of the most important New World soybean agro-ecosystems pests, occurring from 40° N in the USA to 39° S in Argentina.
