INTERFERENCE OF THE NUMBER OF REMOTE CONTROL VALVES IN USE ON THE ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF AN AGRICULTURAL TRACTOR WITH PRODUCTIVITY MANAGEMENT REA
Neto,Lauro S.; Kmiecik,Leonardo L.; Jasper,Samir P.; Zimmermann,Gabriel G.; Savi,Daniel.
ABSTRACT The hydraulic remote control system allows the transfer of energy from the engine through a flow of hydraulic oil to engines and implements pulled by agricultural tractors, which can interfere with its energy and operational performance. This study aimed to evaluate the interference of the number of remote control valves in use on the operational and energy performance of an agricultural tractor, using a productivity management system. The experiment was conducted in a strip-plot design, with five replications and three treatments, which consisted of the number of remote control valves in use (1, 2, or 3), totaling 15 experimental units. The results were subjected to normality and homogeneity tests and analysis of variance, followed by the Tukey...

Perfomance evaluation of a direct injection engine using different blends of soybean (Glycine max) methyl biodiesel REA
Nietiedt,Gustavo H.; Schlosser,José F.; Russini,Alexandre; Frantz,Ulisses G.; Ribas,Rodrigo L..
Diesel fuel is used widely in Brazil and worldwide. On the other hand, the growing environmental awareness leads to a greater demand for renewable energy resources. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the use of different blends of soybean (Glycine max) methyl biodiesel and diesel in an ignition compression engine with direct injection fuel. The tests were performed on an electric eddy current dynamometer, using the blends B10, B50 and B100, with 10; 50 e 100% of biodiesel, respectively, in comparison to the commercial diesel B5, with 5% of biodiesel added to the fossil diesel. The engine performance was analyzed trough the tractor power take off (PTO) for each fuel, and the best results obtained for the power and the specific fuel consumption,...

Performance of a seeder according to the displacement velocity and furrowing mechanism for fertilizer deposition AGRIAMBI
Santos,Viviane C. dos; Santos,Paulo R. A. dos; Lima,Isabela O.; Pereira,Valberto R. F.; Gonçalves,Flávio R. F.; Chioderoli,Carlos A..
ABSTRACT Agribusiness daily increases the demand for machinery with better efficiency, seeking to reduce operating costs and improve the quality of the sowing process. The objective of present study was to evaluate the quality of the longitudinal seed distribution and the operating performance of a seeder-fertilizer according to displacement velocity and furrowing mechanism for fertilizer deposition. The assay was conducted in the experimental area of the Department of Agricultural Engineering of the Federal University of Ceará. The experimental design was randomized blocks, in a 2 x 3 factorial, with four replicates with two furrowing mechanisms for fertilizer deposition (double disc and shank) and three displacement velocities (4.7, 6.3 and 8.2 km h-1)....

Operational performance of a tractor-seeder according to the velocity and working depth AGRIAMBI
Macedo,Deivielison X. S.; Nicolau,Francisca E. de A.; Nascimento,Henryque C. F. do; Costa,Enio; Chioderoli,Carlos A.; Loureiro,Danilo R..
ABSTRACT The sowing process is one of the most important steps in agricultural production chain, requiring a good efficiency in order to avoid seed and plant population losses. In order to achieve a satisfactory performance of the seeder, the agricultural implement needs to be properly adjusted. Therefore, the present study aimed to verify both the operational performance and sowing quality of the agricultural equipment, depending on different working depths and different operating velocities. The experimental design was a factorial, with two theoretical velocities and three working depths. The velocity of 6.8 km h-1 achieved both a good operating consumption and a low fuel consumption per working area and when associated with working depth of 0.05 m...
