The ecological status of the Baltic Sea is endangered. The high nutrient surplus from intensive agriculture is the main reason for the pollution. In a joint project with all countries around the Baltic Sea, the EU funded project BERAS Implementation (Baltic Ecological Recycling Agriculture and Society) supports the conversion to ecological recycling agriculture (ERA) to ensure a sustainable protection of the Baltic Sea. Plant tissue analysis is a valuable tool for evaluating the nutritional status and quality of crops and is widely used for scienti fi c and commercial purposes. The majority of plant analyzes are now performed by techniques based on ICP spectrometry such as inductively coupled plasma—optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) or ICP—mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). These techniques enable fast and accurate measurements of multielement pro fi les when combined with appropriate methods for sample preparation and digestion. En el presente trabajo se sistematiza el proceso de intercambio de saberes, que realiza el Centro de Educación Agroecológico ASHPA, en articulación con la Universidad Nacional de la Plata (UNLP) en la Provincia de Buenos Aires de la República de Argentina. El diálogo de saberes constituye una manera de relacionar estudiantes, docentes y comunidades de agricultores con el objetivo de construir un puente cognitivo entre el saber científico disciplinario y el saber empírico de diversos sujetos sociales. El Programa Huertas en Centros Educativos (PHCE) es una experiencia que desarrollan conjuntamente la Intendencia de Montevideo, la Administración Nacional de Enseñanza Pública y la Universidad de la República, desde el año 2005. Se basa en la docencia, instalación y seguimiento de huertas agroecológicas en 49 escuelas primarias de Montevideo ubicadas en zonas de vulnerabilidad social. Trabajan en él, 35 orientadores de huerta que participan junto a unos 14.000 niños y 450 maestros en forma directa, vinculando la agroecología a las actividades curriculares de todos los grados.
