| ABSTRACT The intercropping is a production system that aims to provide increased yield with less environmental impact, due to greater efficiency in the use of natural resources and inputs involved in the production process. An experiment was carried out to evaluate the agronomic viability of kale and New Zealand spinach intercropping as a function of the spinach transplanting time. (0, 14, 28, 42, 56, 70, 84 and 98 days after transplanting of the kale). The total yield (TY) and yield per harvest (YH) of the kale in intercropping did not differ from those obtained in monoculture. | O trabalho foi desenvolvido em Dourados (MS), entre 10/05 e 18/07/2002, em Latossolo Vermelho distroférrico, de textura argilosa. O objetivo foi avaliar a produção de massa fresca e a renda bruta obtidas da cebolinha 'Todo Ano' e do espinafre 'Nova Zelândia', em cultivo solteiro e em consórcio. Foram estudadas a cebolinha (C) solteira, o espinafre solteiro (E) e o consórcio cebolinha-espinafre (CE), arranjados no delineamento experimental de blocos casualizados, com seis repetições. A propagação do espinafre foi por semente e a da cebolinha por mudas. A colheita da cebolinha e do espinafre foi feita aos 69 dias após o início da propagação, cortando-se, rente ao solo, as folhas das plantas de touceiras de cebolinha e acima do primeiro broto novo nos ramos... |
