TEMPORAL DYNAMICS OF CLIMATOLOGICAL PARAMETERS AND HYDRIC BALANCE IN THE MANAGEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL CROPS REA
Filgueiras,Roberto; Oliveira,Vinicius M. R. de; Cunha,Fernando F. da; Mantovani,Everardo C..
ABSTRACT One of the main factors that determine the success of decision-making in the fields is the climatic factor. This way, the geostatistical techniques have been used to represent and understand the spatial or temporal dynamics of meteorological parameters. Therefore, the aim of this research was to represent temporally through thematic maps, the average daily behavior for meteorological variables and the hydric balance for the municipality of Patos de Minas - MG. The climatic data were acquired from the automatic station INMET from the years 1990 to 2015. Later, it was calculated the evapotranspiration and the hydric balance for different capacities of available water in the soil (CAW): 24 mm, 48 mm, 80 mm and 112 mm. The climate variables showed...

Spatial variability of yield and other parameters associated with pear trees REA
Konopatzki,Marcia R. S.; Souza,Eduardo G.; Nóbrega,Lúcia H. P.; Uribe-Opazo,Miguel A.; Suszek,Grazieli.
In the last few years, precision agriculture has become commonly used with many crops, particularly cereals, and there is also interest in precision horticulture. Pear is a seasonal fruit and well appreciated by Brazilian people, although it is mostly imported. Brazilian farmers are nowadays trying to increase pear production. Thus, this research aimed at mapping the yield of pear trees in order to study the spatial variability of yield as well as its comparison with spatial variability of soil and plant attributes. The experimental field had 146 pear trees, variety 'Pêra d'água', distributed on a 1.24 ha. Four harvests were performed according to the fruit ripening and from each tree; only the ripe fruits were harvested. In each harvest, all the fruits...

Spatial-temporal variability of leaf chlorophyll and its relationship with cocoa yield AGRIAMBI
Medauar,Caique C.; Galvão,Ícaro M.; Carvalho,Luis C. C.; Silva,Samuel de A..
ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to evaluate the spatial-temporal variability of leaf chlorophyll index and its relationship with cocoa yield. The experiment was carried out in an experimental area of cocoa production located in Ilhéus, Bahia State, Brazil. Leaf chlorophyll content was measured in September, October, January, February, March and April in the 2014/2015 season, at each sampling point of a regular grid by using a portable chlorophyll meter. Under the same conditions, yield was evaluated and the data were submitted to descriptive statistics and a linear correlation study. Geostatistical analysis was used to determine and quantify the spatial and temporal variability of leaf chlorophyll index and yield. Leaf chlorophyll index varied...

Characterization and mapping of soil classes of the Lajeado Pessegueiro watershed in Santa Catarina, Brazil Acta Agron. (Palmira)
Nascimento Machado,Ludmila; Loss,Arcângelo; Bacic,Ivan Luiz Zilli; Dortzbach,Denilson; de Campos Lalane,Heloísa.
Abstract Pedological surveys and physiographic characterization of a watershed are fundamental procedures for planning the soil use. Thus, the aim of this study was to characterize and map the soil classes of the Lajeado Pessegueiro watershed, located in Guarujá do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The types of land use and occupation, slope classes and physiography of the study area were delineated and described. Data were collected from 19 complete soil profiles and 9 extra samples. Physiographic analysis was performed using prior information on the photopedology of the terrain geomorphological characteristics, climatic conditions, vegetation, land use and geological conditions. The watershed has a predominant undulating relief (406.51 ha). The predominant...

Spatial resolution influence on the identification of land cover classes in the Amazon environment Anais da ABC (AABC)
PONZONI,FLÁVIO J.; GALVÃO,LÊNIO S.; EPIPHANIO,JOSÉ C.N..
To evaluate the role played by the spatial resolution in distinguishing land cover classes in the Amazon region, different levels of spatial resolution (60, 100, 120, 200 and 250 meters) were simulated from a Landsat_5 Thematic Mapper (TM) image. Thematic maps were produced by visual interpretation from the original (30 x 30 meters) and simulated set of images. The map legend included primary forest, old and young woody secondary succession, and non-forest. The results indicated that for the discrimination between primary forest and non-forest, spatial resolution did not have great influence for pixel size equal or lower than 200 meters. The contrary was verified for the identification of old and young woody secondary vegetation due to their occurrence in...

Spatial-temporal variability of rainfall and mean air temperature for the state of Bahia, Brazil Anais da ABC (AABC)
MEDAUAR,CAIQUE C.; SILVA,SAMUEL A.; CARVALHO,LUIS CARLOS C.; GALVÃO,ÍCARO M.; MACÊDO,PHILYPE V..
Abstract The aim of this study was to evaluate spatial behavior and temporal stability of rainfall and mean air temperature in the state of Bahia, using historical series from 1975 to 2011 and 1961 to 2009, respectively. The analyses were performed considering the accumulated variables of each month of the historical series. The accumulated monthly totals were divided by the number of years of observation, obtaining the monthly average values of rainfall and air temperature for each measurement point. The data were submitted to descriptive statistical analysis and linear correlation studies. Geostatistical analysis was used to verify the existence and quantify spatial dependence between the values of the studied variables. In addition, the maps were...
