Construction and Evaluation of the Theoretical Model of Citrus Cooperative Organization AgEcon
Jiang, Yu-kai; He, Qin.
Based on the general overview of cooperative economic organizations of citrus industry at home and abroad, theoretical model of the modernization, industrialization and marketization of Citrus Cooperative Organization is established. After selecting the indices, such as the scale of production, the scale of management, the rate of encouraged farmers, and the market competitiveness, quantitative evaluation index system for modernization, industrialization and marketization is established. Then, Citrus Cooperative Organization is divided into three stages of primary stage, intermediate stage and senior stage. After evaluating the modernization, industrialization and marketization of citrus industry in the United States, Spain and South Africa, it is pointed...

THE MODEL OF BEEF CATTLE KEEPING IN THE SZIGETKÖZ FLOODPLAINS AgEcon
Kettinger, Anita; Gombkoto, Nora; Csatai, Rozsa; Salamon, Lajos.
Pasture management in floodplains, adjusting to the natural cycles, has important environmental and social welfare functions. It can only be implemented if there is a balance between the interests of society and those of economy. This paper uses a theoretical model to assess the profitability aspects and results. This information can provide theoretical input for the actual use of floodplain pastures. On the basis of our calculations we reckon that our elaborated model is worth realizing in practice. However, we have to emphasize that our calculations cover only the evaluation of the economic rewards of pasture management in floodplains, the investigation of its social usefulness will constitute the following chapter of our work....

A model for coupled electro-hydro-mechanical processes in fine grained soils accounting for gas generation and transport Anais da ABC (AABC)
Tamagnini,Claudio; Jommi,Cristina; Cattaneo,Fabio.
A theoretical and numerical model is developed for the quantitative analysis of coupled processes taking place in active waste containment systems, such as electrokinetic barriers or fences, in which alow intensity DC current is circulated across the clay barrier to move polar and non-polar contaminants. A novel feature of the proposed approach is the allowance for the presence of air in the pore space. Under unsaturated conditions, all transport coefficients involved in the electrokinetic process are strongly dependent on the degree of saturation of pore liquid. In order to assess the predictive capability of the proposed theory and to appreciate the impact of gas production at the electrodes, a series of numerical simulations of simple onedimensional...
