El estado de Michoacán es el principal productor y exportador de aguacate cv. Hass (Persea americana Mill) en México y en el mundo y uno de sus principales problemas fitosanitarios es “la tristeza del aguacatero”, causada por el oomyceto Phytophthora cinnamomi Rands. La tristeza del aguacatero se intentó reducir con un manejo integrado parcial del aguacate (MIA) aplicado durante ocho meses y consistente en dos aplicaciones al suelo de vermicompost, seis de ácido fosfórico y cuatro de Trichoderma harzianum en un huerto del municipio de Uruapan, Mich. El % de raíces infectadas por P. cinnamomi al inicio del experimento (37.9%) bajó a 6.6% en el MIA, en el testigo subió de 26.9% al inicio a 30.2% al final. Sugarcane bagasse as feedstock for cellulase production by Trichoderma harzianum in optimized culture medium Electron. J. Biotechnol.

This work aimed at the production of cellulases from pretreated sugarcane bagasse by the filamentous fungus Trichoderma harzianum IOC 3844 and their application in the hydrolysis of this same substrate, for a future use in second-generation ethanol production. The production of cellulases was optimized, which resulted in high enzymatic activities after 42 hrs of process in an instrumented bioreactor (CMCase 27,017 U x L-1; FPase 1,225 U x L-1; and β-glucosidase 609 U x L-1). ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to evaluate four strains of Trichoderma spp. (T. harzianum IBLF 006 WP, T. harzianum IBLF 006 SC, T. harzianum ESALQ 1306 and T. asperellum URM 5911) for seedling growth promotion in laboratory and head lettuce yield in field conditions. ABSTRACT: A pot experiment was carried out for the biological control of charcoal rot on mung bean (Vigna radiata), caused by Macrophomina phaseolina. Pot soil was made sick with an inoculum of M. phaseolina. Dried powdered leaves of Sisymbrium irio, a weed from the Brassicaceae family, were mixed in soil at 1, 2 and 3% (w/w) with and without the application of Trichoderma harzianm, a fungal biological control agent. ABSTRACT The selectivity of five entomopathogens and a chemical insecticide (positive control) to pupae and adults of the egg parasitoid Telenomus remus (Nixon) was evaluated in the laboratory under controlled environmental conditions according to protocols established by the International Organization for Biological Control. Uma alternativa aos tratamentos químicos de sementes é o uso de bioprotetores, por meio da microbiolização e, dentre esses, Trichoderma spp. têm sido considerados eficientes no controle de fungos e bactérias. Este trabalho foi conduzido com o objetivo de avaliar a eficiência dos tratamentos de sementes de algodoeiro com os fungicidas carboxin+thiram, carbendazin+thiram e flutolanil, comparando-os com Trichoderma harzianum, na germinação, no vigor das sementes e na promoção de crescimento das plântulas. Filtration enrichment method for isolation of auxotrophic mutants of Trichoderma harzianum rifai Rev. Microbiol.

The isolation of genetic markers, like drug resistance and auxotrophy, is a laborious but important step in genetic research. The isolation of auxotrophic mutants of Trichoderma harzianum using the filtration enrichment technique was more effective than using the total isolation technique. Most of 12 auxotrophic mutants exhibited similar growth rate and higher sporulation when compared with the wild type, but only two mutants (TWS-410 and TW5-523) could grow in 500µg/L of benomyl.

Antagonismo de aislamientos de Trichoderma spp. frente a Didymella bryoniae (Fuckel) Rehm Rev. Protección Veg.

El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo determinar los modos de acción de aislamientos de Trichoderma spp. frente a Didymella bryoniae (Fuckel) Rehm, mediante la técnica de cultivo dual. Se evaluaron la competencia por el sustrato, el micoparasitismo y la antibiosis de aislamientos de Trichoderma asperellum Samuels (Ta.), Trichoderma harzianum Rifai (Th.) y Trichoderma sp. (T.). A partir de las 72 horas, todos los aislamientos presentaron efecto inhibitorio del crecimiento del patógeno superior al 50%. Los aislamientos Ta. 12, Ta. 79, Ta. 85 y T. 81 crecieron más del 75% del área de la placa, por lo que se ubicaron en la clase 1 de la escala de Bell. Variabilidade entre isolados de Trichoderma harzianum: I - Aspectos citológicos Scientia Agricola

Objetivou-se neste trabalho estudar a variabilidade de isolados selvagens de Trichoderma harzianum baseado nas características culturais e citológicas. Observaram-se o tamanho dos fialosporos, número de núcleos por fialosporos e crescimento e esporulação em meio de malte-ágar. Pelos resultados aqui encontrados foi possível reconhecer que há variação entre os isolados selvagens da espécie T. harzianum. Com relação ao número de núcleos, verificou-se uma variação de 1 a 3 núcleos por fialosporos. Também observou-se padrões diferenciais de crescimento e morfologia da colônia. Mais de 50% dos isolados atingiram o máximo de crescimento em 48 horas.

Trichoderma harzianum strain CB-Pin-01 suppressed the growth and effectively destroyed mycelia of Aspergillus sp. When T. harzianum strain CB-Pin-01 used as seed and soil treatment or as seed and soil treatment plus three spray applications, the populations of Aspergillus spp. in corn planting soil were reduced by 85.26 and 90.00 percent, respectively, whereas the reduction of population in a control was 13.95 percent. T. harzianum strain CB-Pin-01 could colonize corn roots and rhizosphere soil throughout the growing period. Trichoderma harzianum 01-52 prepared as powder formulation was evaluated for the efficacy to reduce dirty panicle and to increase yield of rice. This investigation was the cooperative research between Plant Pathologists from Kasetsart University and Rice Department. Rice seeds (Suphan Buri 3) were soaked in spore suspension of T. harzianum 01-52 (100 g/100 l) for 15 hrs and were further incubated for 24 hrs before sowing in plastic tray contained with burned rice hull. Pellet formulation bioproduct of Trichoderma harzianum 01-52 were evaluated for the efficacy to reduce dirty panicle disease and to increase the yield of rice in non- chemical pesticides using fields in Kanchanaburi province, compared with the Trichoderma untreated control. Rice seeds (Chai Nat 1) were soaked in spore suspension of T. harzianum 01-52 (100 g/100 l) for 24 hrs. The soaked seeds were incubated for another 24 hrs before sowing in the rice field. The study of integrated pest management was performed in two farmers’ marigold field namely Ms. Liab and Ms Somchom at Muang district, Khon Kaen province. Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used with three treatments and four replications. T1- farmers’ practice, T2- control (no application of any insecticide and fungicide) and T3- integrated pest management (using trichoderma and released the predator, Sycanus sp.). In Ms. Liab’s plots, neem extract was applied to control insect pest. The result showed the least flower damage (1.81 percent); the highest number of flowers (44,596) and profit of 25,383.4 Baht/rai in T3 which significant difference with T1. Manejo da podridão-de-Sclerotium em pimentão em um argisolo no Amazonas Acta Amazonica

A podridão-de-Sclerotium é uma doença comum em plantas da família Solanaceae na Amazônia. Visando avaliar estratégias de manejo para esta doença em pimentão (Capsicum annuum, L. Solanaceae), foi conduzido experimento em campo em blocos casualizados com parcelas subdivididas e seis repetições, em Argissolo Vermelho-Amarelo artificialmente infestado com Sclerotium rolfsii. O tratamento principal foi a cobertura do solo (cobertura do solo com serragem ou solo nu). Os tratamentos secundários consistiram na adição ao solo de: 1) composto vegetal (3 L por cova), 2) arroz colonizado com Trichoderma harzianum (90 g por cova contendo ≈ 1,4 x 10(9) conídios g-1), 3) composto vegetal e T. harzianum nas mesmas proporções descritas anteriormente e 4) testemunha.
