Содержание и потребление неорганических соединений азота в Чёрном море. IBSS Repository
Кривенко, О. А..

Uptake of Inorganic and Organic Nitrogen Sources by Dinophysis acuminata and D. acuta ArchiMer
García-portela, Maria; Reguera, Beatriz; Gago, Jesus; Le Gac, Mickael; Rodríguez, Francisco.
Dinoflagellate species of Dinophysis are obligate mixotrophs that require light, nutrients, and prey for sustained growth. Information about their nitrogenous nutrient preferences and their uptake kinetics are scarce. This study aimed to determine the preferred nitrogen sources in cultures of D. acuminata and D. acuta strains from the Galician Rías Baixas (NW Spain) and to compare their uptake kinetics. Well-fed versus starved cultures of D. acuminata and D. acuta were supplied with N15 labeled inorganic (nitrate, ammonium) and organic (urea) nutrients. Both species showed a preference for ammonium and urea whereas uptake of nitrate was negligible. Uptake rates by well-fed cells of D. acuminata and D. acuta were 200% and 50% higher, respectively, than by...

Micronutrient and Silicon Uptake and Removal by Upland Rice Cultivars with Different Plant Architecture Rev. Bras. Ciênc. Solo
Crusciol,Carlos Alexandre Costa; Carmeis Filho,Antonio Carlos de Almeida; Fernandes,Adalton Mazetti; Alvarez,Rita de Cássia Félix.
ABSTRACT Upland rice cultivars manifest different nutritional demands. A field study was conducted to quantify the extraction, distribution, and removal of micronutrients and silicon by the upland rice cultivars. The experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block-split plot design. Plots consisted of three cultivars (Caiapó – traditional, BRS Primavera – intermediate, and Maravilha – modern) of upland rice. Split-plots consisted of plant samplings, which occurred at 39, 46, 55, 67, 75, 83, 92, 102, 111, 118, and 125 days after emergence (DAE). Up to the end of tillering (46 DAE), all cultivars exhibited low demand for most micronutrients and Si, and took up less than 24 % of the total B, Cu, and Si, but around 31 % of the total Zn. The period of...

Macronutrient Uptake and Removal by Upland Rice Cultivars with Different Plant Architecture Rev. Bras. Ciênc. Solo
Crusciol,Carlos Alexandre Costa; Fernandes,Adalton Mazetti; Carmeis Filho,Antonio Carlos de Almeida; Alvarez,Rita de Cássia Félix.
ABSTRACT Modern high-yielding rice cultivars possibly take up and remove greater quantities of macronutrients than traditional and intermediate cultivars. This study was carried out with the aim of evaluating the extraction and removal of macronutrients by upland rice cultivars. These information are of utmost importance for the correct fertilizer management. The treatments consisted of three upland rice cultivars (Caiapó, a traditional type; BRS Primavera, an intermediate type; and Maravilha, a modern type). Macronutrient accumulation by rice cultivars up to the end of tillering (46 DAE) accounted for only 25 % of the total N and P, and between 35-45 % of the total K, Ca, Mg, and S; after that time, accumulation was intensified. In all of the cultivars,...

Nutrient extraction and exportation by castor bean hybrid lyra Rev. Bras. Ciênc. Solo
Nascimento,Martha Santana do; Crusciol,Carlos Alexandre Costa; Fernandes,Adalton Mazetti; Zanotto,Maurício Dutra.
Information about nutrient extraction and exportation by crops, as well as the periods of highest nutrient demand is important for an adequate fertilization management. However, there are no studies on the nutrient uptake of short-stature hybrid castor bean. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate nutrient extraction and exportation by short-stature castor bean hybrid Lyra, in the spring-summer and fall-winter growing seasons. The experiments were conducted in the 2005/2006 spring-summer and 2006 fall-winter growing seasons on an Oxisol, in Botucatu, SP, in a randomized block design, with four replications. The plots consisted of plant samplings, which occurred 17, 31, 45, 59, 73, 97 and 120 days after emergence (DAE) in the spring-summer and...
