| De gevlekte platte waterwants Naucoris maculatus is een zeer zeldzame soort in Nederland. Historische vondsten zijn bekend van uit Noord-Brabant en het Utrechts-Hollandse laagveengebied. In het voorjaar van 2007 werd de soort aangetroffen bij Loenen aan de Vecht en in de Ankeveense plassen. Naar aanleiding hiervan werden alle recente meldingen gecontroleerd, waaruit bleek dat de wants op verschillende plaatsen aanwezig is in het Utrechts-Hollands plassengebied. Het is onwaarschijnlijk dat de nieuwe vondsten te danken zijn aan een zuidelijke invasie. Alle gecontroleerde dieren bleken micropteer. |

| Invasion of the New-Zealand wheat bug Nysius huttoni in the Netherlands (Heteroptera: Lygaeidae) In 2006 the European Invertebrate Survey - Netherlands, by order of the National Plant Protection Organisation, conducted a survey of the distribution and population characteristics of the true bug Nysius huttoni White, 1878. This is originally an endemic species of New Zealand, which was first discovered in the Netherlands in 2002 (Aukema et al. 2005).
