De watermijt Arrenurus berolinensis in Nederland, met de eerste beschrijving van het vrouwtje (Acari: Hydrachnidia) De zeer zeldzame watermijt Arrenurus berolinensis is in 2006 voor het eerst in Nederland gevonden, in een petgat in de Wieden (Overijssel). Tot nu toe was deze soort slechts twee keer eerder aangetroffen, namelijk in Berlijn in 1896 en in Oost-Pruisen, het tegenwoordige Kaliningrad, in 1907. New records of water mites in the Netherlands (Acari: Hydrachnidia) Three species of water mite new to the fauna of the Netherlands are reported, i.e. Hydryphantes flexuosus, Panisus michaeli and Nilotonia borneri. Moreover, a number of new records of rare species is given. Re-identification of Dutch material previously reported as Sperchon glandulosus showed that all specimens belong to S. thienemanni. Furthermore Eylais tullgreni was added by Davids et al. (2005), which adds up to 242 species on the Dutch water mite list.
