| In many intensively cultivated areas, surface and ground waters suffer from eutrophication and deterioration of the water quality: To improve the environmental protection actions of agriculture, EU countries have adopted common legislation, such as Nitrate Directive and the Water Framework Directive, which set limits to the use of manure and aim at good ecological state of waters by 2015, respectively. | Der Biolandbau benötigt dringend angepasste Sorten. Die Biopflanzenzüchtung soll deshalb vorangetrieben werden. Ein Schritt in diese Richtung ist das Vernetzen der verschiedenen Akteure. | laboratoire de tendreté mécanique sur 6 muscles crus et cuits de la cuisse d’autre part, de lapins produits en élevage conventionnel (lot Standard n=15) et selon le cahier des charges de l’Agriculture Biologique (n=15 mâles : Bio_M, et n=15 femelles Bio_F) sont comparées. Le jury distingue (83,3 % de bonnes réponses aux tests de choix triangulaires) des râbles de lapins Bio de ceux de lapins Standard. Les tests de profil sensoriel indiquent que les râbles des lapins Bio sont jugés plus tendre que ceux des lapins standard (+ 0,74 point sur une échelle de 10 ; P< 0,001). | The first LowInputBreeds Symposium was organised by the LowInputBreeds project partners Wageningen UR Livestock Research and the Danish Centre for Bioethics and Risk Assessment of the University (CeBRA) of Copenhagen in cooperation with ECO AB, the European Consortium for Organic Animal Breeding. The aim of the symposium was to discuss the plans and progress in LowInputBreeds in an early stage of the EU-project with stakeholders.
