Ecologie du copépode calanoïde Paracartia grani. Implication dans le cycle de vie du parasite Marteilia refringens dans la lagune de Thau ArchiMer
Boyer, Séverine.
In this study, the life cycle of Paracartia grani, a calalloid copepod belonging to the Acartiidae family was determined in Thau lagoon. Indeed, the copepod involvement in the life cycle of the parasite Marteilia refringens affecting the bivalve productions is suspected. Mesozooplanktonic community .was monitored twice a month. over two years at a fixed station in the lagoon. Sampling has identified P. grani as the acartiid dominant species in summer. From April to January, the copepod is found in the water column while from February to early April it remains in the sediment as diapausing eggs. The analysis of the population structure (size spectmm, contribution of developmental stages and sex ratio) has revealed that there are in between 6 and 9...

FishMed: traits, phylogeny, current and projected species distribution of Mediterranean fishes, and environmental data ArchiMer
Albouy, Camille; Lasram, Frida Ben Rais; Velez, Laure; Guilhaumon, François; Meynard, Christine N.; Boyer, Séverine; Benestan, Laura; Mouquet, Nicolas; Douzery, Emmanuel; Aznar, Roland; Troussellier, Marc; Somot, Samuel; Leprieur, Fabien; Le Loc'H, François; Mouillot, David.
The FishMed database provides traits, phylogeny, current and projected species distribution of Mediterranean fishes, and associated sea surface temperature (SST) from the regional oceanic model NEMOMED8. Data for the current geographical distributions of 635 Mediterranean fish species were compiled from a published expert knowledge atlas of fishes of the northern Atlantic and the Mediterranean (FNAM) edited between 1984 and 1986 and from an updated exotic fish species list. Two future sets of projected species distributions were obtained for the middle and end of the 21st century by using an ensemble forecasting approach for 288 coastal Mediterranean fish species based on SST according to the IPPC/SRES A2 scenario implemented with the Mediterranean...

Some like it hot: Paracartia grani (Copepoda: Calanoida) arrival in the Thau lagoon (south of France—Mediterranean Sea) ArchiMer
Boyer, Séverine; Arzul, Isabelle; Bonnet, Delphine.
Paracartia grani originates from high latitudes and has progressively been recorded in the Mediterranean Sea since the 1980s. In Thau lagoon, while Acartia clausi and Acartia discaudata present maximum peaks of abundance from January to April and in November and December, both species being perennial over the year, P. grani and Paracartia latisetosa appear in May, develop during summer, in July and August, and slowly decrease in autumn before disappearing from the water column in December. The Acartiidae populations have changed over the years at our monitoring station. Indeed, P. latisetosa was last recorded in August 1983 while P. grani appeared in the lagoon in 1998.
