水稻香米品種臺農秈20號之育成 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]臺農秈20號為本省經雜交育成之秈型香米品種,具有濃芳之香味,米質優良,並抗稻熱病,褐飛蝨等病蟲害,株高一期作109.3公分,二期作115.0公分;每株穗數一期作16.1支,二期作12.4支;全生育日數一期作143天,二期作107天;粒型中長稍細,米粒富光澤,心腹白少,直鏈性澱粉含量18.5%,種子稍具休眠性,稻穀產量根據區域試驗結果,平均每公頃一期作為6,061公斤,二期作為5,371公斤,一期作在高屏地區較高產,二期作在褐飛蝨易發生地區都適合栽培。 本品種耐寒性較差,一期作不宜過早育苗及插秧,以免秧苗受寒害,又本品種較易脫粒,在沿海季節風較大地區避免種植,以免脫粒損失,香米之香味為揮發性,因比貯藏時最好放置通風良好之涼冷地方。 Rice variety Tainung Sen 20 was a selection from the cross between Chianung Shi-pi 671178 and a F4 line, having heavy aromatic flavor, excellent rice quality and resistance to blast disease and brown planthopper. [[abstract]][[abstract]]臺農72號為稉型稻香米,於民國67年2期作以嘉農系比662007為母本,與日本引進香米品種大正撰雜交而成,本品種具有濃郁的香味、米質佳、抗褐飛蝨之特性,株高一期作97.4cm,二期作102.4cm;穗數一期作17.2 支,二期作14.1支;生育日數一期作135天,二期作108天;稻穀產量一期作6,344kg/ha,二期作5,038kg/ha,比對照品種分別減產2%及9.7%,本品種桿莖稍細,在成熟期易受環境影響,而導致倒伏,臺農72號適宜中南部地區栽培,臺農72號初期生育緩慢,分蘗較差,為促進早期分蘗,提高產量,基肥及插秧後早期之追肥頗為重要。 A Japonica (Keng) type scented rice variety, Tainung 72 (TNG 72) was derivated from a cross between Chianung J662007 and Taishousen (Japanese local scented rice variety). TNG 72 posses the scent of plant and grain, and have the characterestics of good grain and eating quality. 肥田利地(Fertilaid)施用效果觀察試驗 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]「肥田利地」係臺灣農產品外銷市場研究中心於日1974年自美國引進的一種有機活性劑(Organic activator)肥料,施用後能改良土壤質地,而有利於農作物之生長與產量的提高。本試驗乃觀察肥田利地施用後對水稻生長發育與稻穀產量之影響,初步結果顯示稻田施用肥田利地並不能獲致增產效果。導致肥田利地表現欠佳之原因,係由於肥田利地施用區之分蘗能力與每株穗數較單施化學肥料區為差所致。但由於肥田利地之施用可提高有效分蘗率與減輕穗頸稻熱病之罹病率,故若能改良其施用方法,將可使稻穀產量獲得提高。 ‘Fertilaid” is an organic activator which was introduced from United States by Taiwan Agricultural Products Export Market Research Center in 1974. 非洲引進稻若干農藝特性之初步觀察 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]本分所於民國59年從事非洲引進稻之適應性觀察。初步結果顯示多數引進稻之株高、穗數及生育日數均不甚理想,惟其穗長、穗重、一穗粒數及谷粒之形狀與大小等,則頗有可取之處,似為良好之雜交育種材料。 One hundred and fifty six rice varieties introduced from several African countries, Iran, and Domenica were evaluated for their major agronomic traits in the first and second crops of 1970 at the Chiayi Agricultural Experiment Station. Preliminary results indicated that plant height, number of panicles per hill and growth duration of most introductions were unsatisfactory. However, the length of panicle, panicle weght, number of grains per panicle, and the shape of grains of these varieties appeared to be superior to local commercial varieties.
