1990至2002年臺灣水稻品種(系)抗稻熱病檢定 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]自1990 至2002 年間,農業試驗所嘉義分所稻熱病檢定圃,先後計檢定國內8 個稻 作改良場所育成水稻品種(系)2,606 個。參試品種(系)之罹病程度因年度與期作而異。一 般而言,水稻品種(系)對葉稻熱病之抗性較穗稻熱病為強,抗葉稻熱病之比例平均較抗 穗稻熱病者高出19.5%,其中在稻,除1990 年外,其兩者間均成顯著正相關(r =0. 65~0.91,P<0.01),惟秈稻對葉及穗稻熱病之抗性則表現較不一致。參試稻品種(系) 較秈稻容易罹患稻熱病,尤其是穗稻熱病;秈稻抗葉稻熱病之比例平均較稻高 12.6%,而抗穗稻熱病者更高出稻31.6%。稻品種(系)在第一期作較第二期作容易罹 病,在兩期作之罹病級數相差達1.26 級;而秈稻在兩期作之發病程度則較為一致,在 兩期作之罹病級數僅相差0.06 級。稻品種(系)在旱田式病圃對葉稻熱病之反應,除 1990 年外,均與其在水田式病圃之反應相當一致 ( r=0.46~0.90,P<0.01),而秈稻則較 不一致;但其發病程度均較水田式病圃嚴重,兩者之平均罹病級數相差達1.62 級。近 年來國內育成之抗病品種如臺8 號、臺11 號、臺14 號及臺16 號等,在其命名 推廣大面積栽植1 至5 年後即淪為感病,尤其是稻,因此加強選育具有持久性之抗病 品種已成刻不容緩之重要課題。

BRS Alvorada and BRSGO Guará were developed from backcrosses of the commercial Metica 1 and the blast-resistant cultivars Huan-Sen-Go and 5287, respectively. The cultivars combine blast-resistance with high yield and characteristics superior to Metica 1.

We explored furanocoumarin compounds extracted from herb Ruta graveolens to suppress the blast rice disease by eliciting rice systemic resistance pathways. The plant material was subjected to the extraction method by percolation with 80% hydroethanolic solution, which allowed the obtaining of the furanocoumarins, that were monitored by HPLC.Tests were carried out in vitro and in greenhouse. Program on research and development of rainfed lowland rice in northeastern Thailand which collaborate with the National Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) was carried out the project to develop a medium maturing, blast resistant, non-glutinous rice line. The cross between IR57514-PMI-5-B-1-2 and RGDU99016-MAS-77 was developed and the progenies were backcrossed to IR57514-PMI-5-B-1-2 for 3 times at RGDU, BIOTEC. The selected promising line; RGDU06337-MAS-122-B-B, was finally obtained. This line is a non-glutinous, photoperiod sensitive, medium maturing which flowers approximately on October 20 and is ready for harvest on November 21. Somaclones derivados de panículas imaturas das cultivares de arroz Bluebelle e Maratelli suscetíveis a brusone, e seus respectivos F1's de cruzamentos com doadores de resistência (Araguaia, Basmati-370 e Ramtulasi) foram comparados com R2 (plantas obtidas de autofecundação de sementes de regenerantes primários) e na geração R3, em casa de vegetação e n campo com relação a resistência a brusone.

Recently, the outbreak of brown planthopper in irrigated paddy fields in the lower northern region was found frequently due to continuous rice growing resulting in low yield of rice production. RD49 is a non–glutinous rice which is insensitive to photoperiod. This line was obtained from 3–way cross, PSL00508-3-1-1-4 /IR66738-118-1-2//IR68544-29-2-1-3-1-2. The average yield is 733 kg/rai which is 26, 15 and 6% greater than those of Chai Nat 1, Phitsanulok 2 and RD47, respectively whereas the maximum yield potential reaches 939 kg/rai. The plant type shows moderately strong culm with about 95 cm height, 102-107 days to maturity for seed broadcasting and 116 days for transplanting.
