This work aims to perform a couple of in silico network analysis from CNVs standpoint, shedding light to possible metabolic connections to tenderness. It was used 671 Nellore males to infer CNVs, through SNP-chip (Illumina Bovine HD Beadchip®, containing approximately 770 thousand SNPs) and PennCNV software methodology. CNV regions (CNVRs) were inferred by CNVRuler (recurrence 0.1).

Mycosphaerella fijiensis is a ascomycete that causes Black Sigatoka in bananas. Recently, the M. fijiensis genome was sequenced. Repetitive sequences are ubiquitous components of fungal genomes. In most genomic analyses, repetitive sequences are associated withtransposable elements (TEs). TEs are dispersed repetitive DNA sequences found in a host genome. These elements have the ability to move from one location to another within the genome, and their insertion can cause a wide spectrum of mutations in their hosts. Plants have the ability to recognize and respond to a multitude of pathogens, resulting in a massive reprogramming of the plant to activate defense responses including Resistance (R) and Pathogenesis-Related (PR) genes. Abiotic stresses can also activate PR genes and enhance pathogen resistance, representing valuable genes for breeding purposes. Mycobacterium bovis (M. bovis) is the causative agent of bovine tuberculosis, a chronic infectious disease that can affect cattle, other domesticated species, wild animals and humans. This disease produces important economic losses worldwide. Two M. bovis strains (04-303 and 534) have been isolated in Argentina. Whereas the 04-303 strain was isolated from a wild boar, the 534 strain was obtained from cattle. In a previous study, six weeks after infection, the 04-303 strain induced 100% mortality in mice. Abstract Araucaria angustifolia is endemic to southern Brazil. Known as Brazilian pine, A. angustifolia is the only native conifer species with economic and social relevance in this country. Due to massive exploitation, it has suffered a significant population decline and currently is classified as critically endangered. This encouraged the scientific community to investigate genetic features in Brazilian pine to increase resources for management and preservation. PCBs were produced worldwide for industrial applications, and an important amount of these compounds have been released into the environment. Arapaima gigas (Osteoglossidae) is one of the largest fish species in the Amazon Basin, attaining lengths of over 2.5 m and weights of over 100 kg. Its flesh is prized, and it has great potential for production in aquaculture systems. However, live pirarucu cannot be reliably sexed visually, even after sexual development, since this species does not have clear external sexual dimorphism. Simple and inexpensive methods for sexing immature pirarucu based on DNA markers would facilitate production of this species in commercial operations.
