Adaptability and stability of Coffea arabica lines in the western Amazon. Repositório Alice

Growing Coffea arabica in regions of the Western Amazon is limited by early maturation and by its limited adaptation to regions of low altitude and high temperature. The aim in this study was to quantify the genotype × environment interaction of C. arabica lines in four different environments of the Western Amazon, seeking to assist selection of new lines with greater adaptability and stability for the region. ABSTRACT Biofortification is a strategy that aims to improve the nutritional quality of foods through genetic breeding. Zinc is an important mineral for human health. It is used in various physiological processes such as immune function, antioxidant protection, growth and development. Abstract: The objective of this work was to estimate genetic and phenotypic parameters among progenies of the CNA6 population of upland rice (Oryza sativa) for grain yield and plant height in four cycles of recurrent selection, in order to evaluate the genetic variability and the genotype × location interaction. The experimental data were obtained from yield trials of S0:2 progenies, which were carried out in the experimental design of Federer’s augmented blocks, without replications for progenies within each location. The effect of S0:2 progenies was significant in all cycles for grain yield and in the first three cycles for plant height, indicating the maintenance of the population’s genetic potential to generate transgressive progenies. RESUMO - Foi analisada a existência da interação genótipo × ambiente para o peso à desmama nas populações da raça Angus do Brasil e do Uruguai usando os registros de 73.205 animais (10.257 do Uruguai e 62948 do Brasil) provenientes de 33 e 161 fazendas e 13 e 34 localidades do Uruguai e do Brasil, respectivamente. The objectives of this study were to determine the importance of simple and complex components of the interaction genotype × environment and to evaluate the adaptability and stability of Gália melon hybrids. Nine hybrids were tested in twelve environments of Rio Grande Norte State from 2000 to 2001. The experiments were carried out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. O conhecimento da adaptabilidade e estabilidade de genótipos é fundamental, principalmente na fase de lançamentos de cultivares, pois visa reduzir os efeitos da interação genótipos × ambientes e facilitar a recomendação de cultivares. O objetivo foi selecionar genótipos de feijão-caupi de porte semiprostrado e semiereto para adaptabilidade e estabilidade produtiva cultivados em diferentes ambientes no Estado do Amazonas, utilizando os métodos baseados em regressão linear (Eberhart & Russell), na análise de variância (Annicchiarico) e em componentes principais (centroide).

Grain yield data from 63 trials of maize cultivars from six groups of experiments were used. 基因型與環境交感效應變方成分劃分在落花生品系試驗中環境評估之應用 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]本研究利用二十個落花生品系(種)為材料,於臺中縣霧峰及雲林縣崙背進行春、秋兩期作之田間試驗,估算籽粒產量之基因型變方成分、環境變方、廣義遺傳率、遺傳相關、基因型與環境交感效應之變方成分,並進行基因型與環境交感效應之變方成分劃分,藉以評估目前農試所品系試驗中對於試區與期作選定之適當性。試驗結果顯示:劃分基因型與環境交感效應之變方成分,在所有情形下,基因型與環境交感效應主要由於不同環境間遺傳相關差異所引起(64.85~99.97%),而僅有一小部分乃係由於不同環境間之基因型變方不等所佔有(0.03~35.15%)。本研究結果建議:為求正確評估品系之籽粒產量潛力,本所同時在臺中縣霧峰與雲林縣崙背進行春、秋兩期作之品系選拔試驗,乃屬必要。 Twenty peanut lines were grown in replicated yield trials at two locations in spring and fall crops of 1987.
