糯質玉米自交系籽粒種皮厚度之變異 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]目前在台灣糯質玉米主要當作鮮食玉米,有黑糯及白糯兩種。本試驗以19 個黑糯族群材料經自交系培育過程選留390 個S5 自交系,及12 個白糯族群經自交系培育過程選留588 個S5 自交系為材料,種植於霧峰農業試驗所試驗田,取兄妹交配後裔之生理成熟期之種子為材料進行籽粒種皮厚度之調查。試驗結果顯示黑糯及白糯玉米籽粒不同的族群間之整粒平均厚度有明顯之變異存在,同時其發芽面種皮厚度、非發芽面種皮厚度、冠蓋種皮厚度間也有明顯的差異存在,一般以冠蓋種皮厚度最薄,其次依續為發芽面種皮厚度、非發芽面種皮厚度。黑糯整粒平均種皮厚度之變異介於30–109 μm,平均為59.4 μm,小於60 μm 的自交系數目有218 個,約佔56%。就整粒平均種皮厚度而言,以PF、PG、PH、PJ、PL 及PN 等族群較薄,同時所分離之自交系具有較薄種皮之數目也較多;而PC、PE、PI、PQ、PR、PS 等族群較厚,同時具有較大的變異性。白糯以 wxpop 2、wxpop 3、wxpop 5、wxpop 6、wxpop 7、wxpop 12 及wxpop 13 等族群較薄,而由wxpop 7、wxpop 12 及wxpop 13 所分離之自交系具有較薄種皮之數目也較多;而wxpop 11 則具有較厚之種皮厚度。白糯整粒平均種皮厚度之變異介於34–204 μm,平均為98.5 μm,小於80 μm 的自交系數目有171 個,約佔29%。黑糯比白糯玉米平均而言具有較薄之種皮厚度,同時也因不同的自交系間其種皮厚度有明顯的遺傳變異存在,可作為糯質玉米薄種皮改良之育種材料。
