Este trabalho foi conduzido com objetivo de avaliar a produção de metano oriunda da fermentação ruminal de volumosos com qualidade distinta: bagaço de cana-de-açúcar (3,9% de PB; 84,6% de FDN; 12,1% lignina) e feno de coastcross (14,8% de PB; 68,2% de FDN; 3,5% lignina).

Abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of different mineral supplements on methane emission of sheep grazing in Caatinga ecosystem. An experiment in a completely randomized design, in which 15 Santa Inês crossbred sheep (19.3 kg) were randomly assigned to one of three treatments: mineral salt for sheep (control; SALTMC), mineral salt with addition of 750 ppm of zinc per animal (SALTMZn) and mineral salt supplied with 2.5 ml of propylene glycol per kg of metabolic body weight (BW0.75; SALTMPeg). Effects of Euglena (Euglena gracilis) supplemented to diet (forage: concentrate ratios of 60:40) on the basic ruminal fermentation and methane emissions in in vitro condition OAK

An in vitro study was conducted to investigate the effect of different concentrations of Euglena (Euglena gracilis) on CH4 production, dry matter (DM) digestibility, volatile fatty acid (VFA) and ammonia N(NH3-N) concentration as well as on the protozoa population. The treatments considered were Euglena at concentrations of 0.0, 50, 100, 200, 400 and 1000 g/kg dry matter (DM) of the substrate (60:40 forage: concentrate ratio) incubated for 24 and 96 h using an in vitro continuous gas production and in vitro two-stage digestion procedure, respectively. The effect of Sunphenon 30S-O on methane emission, nutrient intake, digestibility and rumen fermentation OAK

Sunphenon 30S-O is obtained from the leaves of traceable green tea (Camellia sinensis) and standardized for its catechin content (205 g/kg DM). This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of supplementation with different concentrations of Sunphenon 30S-O on methane emissions, nutrient intake, digestibility, protozoa abundance and the concentrations of volatile fatty acids (VFA) and ammonia-N (NH3-N) in sheep. Four Corriedale wethers with an average body weight of 64.25 +/- 3.86 kg were arranged in a 4 x 4 Latin square and fed a basal diet of Guinea grass (Panicum maximum) hay at the maintenance level with four different concentrations of Sunphenon 30S-O (0, 10, 25 and 40 g/Kg DM intake). Effect of water management to emission methane gas in Lopburi Rice Research Center dry season in 2014. Under Development of Alternative Technologies for Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction and Information System for Decision Support of Policy Maker Project was experimental by Randomized Complete Block (RCB) 3 Replications to compare greenhouse gas emission from 3 Alternative Wet and Dry (AWD) with -10, -15, -20 cm water level and continuous irrigation method. Results showed that Lopburi Rice Research Center was sandy loam soil and AWD irrigation with -10 to -20 cm water level was 27 – 31 % water saving with comparative continuous irrigation method. Measurement of methane emission from rice production systems is a methodology for data collection of Carbon Footprint from rice production system. Four major rice production systems were defined for methane emission measurement in 2012, including upland rice, rainfed rice, irrigated rice with good agricultural practices (GAP) and irrigated rice with alternative wet and dry (AWD). Gas samples were taken one week interval and analyzed by Gas Chromatograph; GC-8A as soon as possible after collection. The study investigates increases in methane emission from utilization of green manure in paddy field. Sulfate –containing fertilizers can reduce methane emission from paddy field. Pumice sulfate is one of soil conditioning materials with seven percentage of sulfate.
