Acumulo de materia seca e de nutrientes em milho cultivado no periodo inverno-primavera. Repositório Alice

O trabalho procurou avaliar o acumulo de materia seca e de N, P, K, Ca, Mg e Zn e a eficiencia de conversao em graos de tres cultivares de milho (BR 201, BR 106 e AG 519) no periodo inverno-primavera, em solo LVA de Prudente de Morais, MG. Os tratamentos foram dispostos em blocos ao acaso com tres repeticoes. As plantas de milho foram coletadas em 5 estadios de desenvolvimento e divididas em folhas, Colmo + bainha, bracteas, sabugo e graos. A exportacao de nutrientes, tanto pelos graos como pela planta, foi dependente da cultivar. Pelos graos, a exportacao do nitrogenio variou 66% a 72%; o fosforo de 80% a 88%; o magnesio de 44% a 59%; o calcio de 3% a 5% e o zinco de 48% a 59%. Análise dialélica de linhagens de milho quanto à responsividade ao fósforo e à sua eficiência de uso. Repositório Alice

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os efeitos genéticos aditivos e não aditivos sobre a eficiência de uso de P e a responsividade ao nutriente em linhagens de milho. Nove linhagens contrastantes ? eficientes ou não quanto ao uso de P ? foram avaliadas em cruzamentos dialélicos, em delineamento de blocos ao acaso, por dois anos, sob dois níveis de disponibilidade do nutriente em Latossolo Vermelho-Escuro distrófico. As linhagens L3 e L228‑3 apresentaram os maiores efeitos médios da capacidade geral de combinação (CGC, ĝi ), o que é indício de eficiência, na ausência de P, e de responsividade, na presença. Among micronutrients, zinc (Zn) is important for coffee tree cultivation, especially in the clayey acid soils of Brazil’s southeast region, where coffee production is an important activity. This study aimed to evaluate the Zn use efficiency of coffee tree varieties using two zinc concentrations. Seedlings of 11 varieties of coffee trees were grown in a greenhouse in nutrient solution containing either 0.0 or 6.0 µmol L-1 of Zn. After eight months, we evaluated the total biomass production, leaf biomass production, concentration of Zn in the plant organs, absorption efficiency, and Zn use efficiency. Com o objetivo de estudar o efeito da omissao de P no meio de cultura nas caracteristicas fisiologicas de absorcao de P e no comprimento de raizes de oito genotipos de milho, quatro previamente classificadas como eficientes e quatro como ineficientes para P, foram desenvolvidos dois experimentos. No primeiro, as sementes dos oito hibridos de milho foram germinadas em rolos de papel-toalha e transplantadas para recipientes de plastico contendo solucao nutritiva completa de Steinberg, pH 5,5. Eucalyptus requires large amounts of nitrogen (N); however, it responds in diverse manners to the application of this nutrient. The aim of this study was to evaluate the differential performance in growth, mineral nutrition, and gas exchanges of N-fertilized Eucalyptus clones. Recently some researchers focus on the identification of planting material presenting a better efficiency towards nutrient applications and consumptions. Our work is focusing on the internal functioning of the mineral reserves of the plant, especially the absorption processes and the remobilization of some nutrients essential to oil palm as potassium, in addition with nitrogen. An experimental has been conducted in controlled conditions, with the objectives to study the effect of K-N gradient on the mineral allocation at the plant scale and to compare two progenies (G1 and G2), presenting contrasting leaf potassium content (G1 will be characterized as K- - and G2 as K++).

Interspecific and intraspecific differences in the efficiency of utilization of soil phosphorus (P) are explained, in part, by plant morphological and physiological variations, which characterize the plant for nutrient acquisition. As part of a study on maize genotypes characterization for P-uptake and use efficiency, kinetic parameters of P uptake and root morphological characters were evaluated for six local and improved maize varieties, grown in nutrient solution. ABSTRACT Modern high-yielding rice cultivars possibly take up and remove greater quantities of macronutrients than traditional and intermediate cultivars. This study was carried out with the aim of evaluating the extraction and removal of macronutrients by upland rice cultivars. These information are of utmost importance for the correct fertilizer management. The treatments consisted of three upland rice cultivars (Caiapó, a traditional type; BRS Primavera, an intermediate type; and Maravilha, a modern type). To do this, five clones were evaluated at 2.25 years of age from hybrids resulting from crosses of Eucalyptus grandis x E. urophylla (C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5). The activity of the enzyme phosphatase (P-ase) is a physiological characteristic related to plant efficiency in relation to P acquisition and utilization, and is genetically variable. As part of a study on maize genotype characterization in relation to phosphorus (P) uptake and utilization efficiency, two experiments were set up to measure phosphatase (P-ase) activity in intact roots of six local and improved maize varieties and two sub-populations.
