Incident light affects orgnaogenesis and morphogenesis processes involved in leaf development through the amount of radiation absorbed by the plant (Chenu et al., 2005). The genetic variability of these responses was investigated on Arabidopsis thaliana ecotypes (Col, Di-m, Ler, Ws) and mutants (se-1, rot3-1, ron2-2, p70S-KOR) displaying contrasted architectures and radiation use efficiencies (Fig. 1).Plants were grown under various levels of incident light, with a stable light quality. A contribution to ameliorate organic fertilisation practices in organic rice growing Inra

The mineralisation rate of commercial organic fertiliser was evaluated for three years in an organic rice field in the Camargue (France). The effect of different amounts of fertiliser applied at different periods was tested. In flooded conditions, organic fertilisers mineralise quickly. Based on this result, we demonstrated that by adapting organic fertilisation practices, imitating those adopted for mineral fertilisers, a better valorisation of organic fertilisers was obtained, resulting in increased profitability.

Agricultural systems, especially livestock systems, are a large source of emissions of grennhouse gas (nitrous oxide N2O, methane CH4, carbon dioxide CO2) and reactive nitrogen (ammonia NH3, nitrogen oxides NOx, nitrates NO3) in Europe. Several mitigation options, such as organic farming, have been suggested in the literature. But they mainly focused on a single gas and dealt with isolated processes. A statistical method for change detection in autoregressive models is proposed. The model change is supposed to be due to a parameter change. As it is often the case in practice, the value characterizing the change is unknown. The proposed approach, called filtering detection rule, is derived from the well-known CUSUM rule and is based on a new class of particle filters to estimate the unknown conditional likelihood in the change mode. The asymptotic optimality of the procedure is obtained in the sense of Lorden (1971): the rule asymptotically minimizes the worst mean delay for detection under a constraint on the mean time between two false alarms. A genetic map of olive tree (Olea europaea; 2n = 46) was constructed with a total of 343 markers: 35 SSRs, 272 AFLPs, 35 ISSRs, and RAPD and SCAR scored in 140 F1 progenies from the cross between ‘Picholine marocaine’ ‘PM’ (female parent) and ‘Picholine du Languedoc’‘PL’ (male parent), respectively susceptible and resistant to Spilocaea oleagina. The female map consisted of 100 markers clustered in 24 linkage groups (LG) and covered over 1260.9 cM, while the male map was defined by 90 markers assigned to 22 linkage groups and covered 1183 cM. The consensus map obtained based on 193 markers (26 SSRs, 151 AFLPs, 12 ISSRs, 3 RAPDs, 1 SCAR) and 31 linkage groups covered 2332.8 cM.

Face aux nouveaux challenges de l’agriculture mondiale, des systèmes de production innovants doivent être construits à l’échelle de l’exploitation agricole. Les expérimentations sont difficiles à réaliser à cette échelle. Aussi, la modélisation permet d’évaluer ex-ante les multiples impacts des innovations proposées. Les auteurs proposent, dans cet objectif, un cadre conceptuel basé sur 3 sous-systèmes (biophysique, technique et décisionnel). Les atouts et limites de ce cadre sont illustrés sur 3 cas d’études.
